Painter and graphic artist Jakub Uksa is part of the Prague graffiti scene, where he started in the 90s under the pseudonym OBIC. His relationship to writing and form, influenced by the study of applied graphics, draws inspiration from ancient and oriental cultures. Jakub Uksa's work is an intuitive freestyle, where each line, experiments with width and unevenness, creates complex compositions. In 2015, he first exhibited canvases that continue his public realizations, with new colors and spatial experiments.

Currently, he encodes elements of his personal mythology into his paintings, reflecting on his travels in Asia, as well as cosmic events and existential questions. His painting has transformed from a graphic language to a content-based creation, where meaning shifts to color and composition.
