Michal Bačák is one of the most prominent figures on the contemporary illustration scene, known for his precise hand-drawn illustrations. His style is characterized by detailed line work, while he effortlessly mixes folklore, nature and science fiction motifs. In addition to illustrations, Bačák's work also extends into the field of design, where his drawings have inspired realizations on porcelain, furniture and print design. Recently, the exhibition Bačák + Design took place in Prague's Portheimka, where original drawings were on display - some of which were exhibited here for the first time.
