Michal Ožibko

Michal Ozibko

Michal Ožibko is a Czech painter whose work dates back to his childhood, when he began experimenting with painting, and he created his first oil painting at the age of 14. In addition to painting, he also devoted himself to graffiti, which was part of his artistic development. A characteristic feature of his work is the technique of applying many thin layers of glaze paints, thanks to which his works acquire a strong illusory and visual effect. In abstract paintings, Ožibko uses highly impasto painting and expressive color. In 2010, he won the audience award in the prestigious National Portrait Gallery competition in London for the painting iDeath.
