Petr Hajdyla is one of the prominent figures of young Czech painting, who impresses on the domestic scene with his original combination of themes and techniques. His works evoke strong emotions and create a state of mind reminiscent of lucid dreaming. He uses a collage-like layering of real motifs and abstract painting, thereby moving the viewer into a new perception of reality. Hajdyla mixes alchemical techniques that he himself developed with classical painting, which creates an intense and positive appeal to the viewer.

A graduate of the Painting 1 studio under the guidance of Prof. Daniel Balabán at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. Hajdyla has had numerous exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad and has won several art competitions. He currently lives and works in Prague and Wallachia.
