Tereza Zichová is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where she studied under Jiří Petrbok and Michael Rittstein. In her work, she often works with animal motifs, which she places in surreal and bizarre situations. Her paintings draw inspiration from fairy tales, sci-fi worlds and dream scenes, but also return to historical periods such as the Baroque or Renaissance. Zichová likes to use drawings from historical publications, which inspire her to create characters in historical costumes, old hairstyles, but also to depict objects and textiles. Her goal is to create paintings that tell stories, often with a mysterious and surreal touch.
